The effect of teak plantation growth on air temperature and oxygen level in green open spaces of the Research and Innovation Department of Perhutani Forestry Institute (PeFI)

Abstract Urban land utilization for urban facilities construction continues to grow and impact the heat island making city uncomfortable. Green open space (GOS) is a within with its function in ecological, social, economic, architectural functions. The purpose of research was determine characteristics GOS effect teak plantation growth on air temperature oxygen (O 2 ) levels. conducted from May November 2021 using an observational design purposive sampling technique, considering variations measured variables: number trees, daily climate, micro-climate difference, O level, wind speed. analysis used descriptive study approach relevant observed conditions. arboretum hedge orchard were at Perhutani Forestry Institute (PeFI). Arboretum had lower higher humidity than orchard, cool-climate category ideal 26.9° C dry category. This means that PeFi office categorized as comfortable. levels PeFI between 20.9 21.1%, meaning environment highly available presence sites.
